EMPLACEMENT AND FANTASY
Joined by artist and filmmaker Andrew Black we worked with themes emerging around ‘emplacement’ and who owns the land. With practical written exercises and group watching of Andy’s film ‘Eternity Knocker’ 2019.
We finished the day by watching a short excerpt of Andy’s work ‘Revenge Fantasy’ and explored ideas and practice of re-imaging place through filmmaking.

Skye and Lochalsh archivist Catherine MacPhee led a session around the archives, talking about poignant objects and documents that tell us of an alternative history of Skye and the Highlands and Islands.
