From Plockton to Portree: a boat project

Gathering on the water, Plockton

Tachartas 27 Iuchar 2022

How can time spent on a boat or by the water shift our perspectives and encourage different ways of thinking and doing?Join us for this poetry and writing workshop on the water in Plockton Harbour as we explore our own relationships with the water, and the role the sea plays in connecting us across and within different people, places and communities.Full details and how to book coming soon. From Plockton to Portree is a boat project with Malcolm Mackenzie bringing people together to explore stories and relationships with the sea.In the summer of 2022, Malcolm invites people to join him on and by the sea in a series of activities leading towards the building of two new coastal rowing skiffs and the re-staging of a race between Plockton and Portree.Part of the Culture Collective network, the project is supported by ATLAS and SEALL and will take place across Skye and Lochalsh over 2022 – 23.
