School Workshops

As part of the project, Henry Castle ran casting workshops with pupils from Kilmuir and Staffin Primary School showing them the process similar to his silicone casting at Rubha nam Brathairen (Brothers’ Point). Alongside Angus Murray of Staffin Community Trust he also led a walk to Garafad Dyke for Staffin pupils to learn more about its significance during the crofters’ struggles. Tom Smith of Lateral North ran a mapping workshop with pupils from both schools and they got the chance to see the potential of augmented reality in bringing stories to life.
