Su Grierson

Su Grierson is a Scottish visual artist, who since the mid-1990s has been actively involved in developing contemporary arts practice and supporting artists living outwith Scotland’s urban centres. Grierson’s own practice expands across a range of forms, from video, sound, new-medias, text, photography and sculpture – often addressing land and landscape from non-traditional perspectives.

Grierson often works collaboratively on a project basis, devising exhibitions and installations as both a curator and a practising artist. Grierson curated the international exhibition Touch Down at Galleri 54, Gothenberg, Sweden, and she jointly curated the video exhibition Invisible Fields with Sara Felton, exhibiting twelve Scottish artists in Estonia, Japan and Scottish venues. Residencies have been a major element to Grierson’s personal practice – in 2013 she was the invited artist to Fukishima Japan through the Japan Foundation.
