Join Malcolm Mackenzie for an autumn row in his Taeping boat in Plockton as part of From Plockton to Portree. A chance to come out on the water, hear about the project, share conversation and try rowing.

One to two persons per one hour slot. Buoyancy aids provided; no experience necessary. Rowing will be weather dependent. Malcolm will meet you at Plockton Harbor Pontoon at your allocated time. If you are late or can not attend please contact 07780476203.

Thursday 15 September 10.00 – 11.00; 11.00 – 12noon

Friday 16 September 12noon – 13.00; 13.00 – 14.00

Monday 19 September 15.00 – 16.00; 16.00 – 17.00

Wednesday 21 September 18.00 – 19.00

Thursday 22 September 17.00 – 18.00; 18.00 – 19.00

Monday 26 September 08.00 – 9.00; 9.00 – 10.00

Access notes

Access to the pontoon is down a steep ramp. This can be slippery when wet. A deep step down is required to get on the rowing boat from the pontoon.

Please wear suitable footwear for uneven ground, and dress for the weather. Bring along a spare pair of shoes you don't mind getting wet, such as old trainers. Should there be adverse weather warnings the workshop will be cancelled and participants notified.

Parking: there is parking available at the Plockton Harbour carpark.

The nearest free public toilets are located by the Plockton Visitor Centre on Harbour St. The toilets are not wheelchair accessible.
