Misty Isle Fish Slice

a limited edition artwork inspired by his personal connection to the Isle of Skye. Maclean's school holidays were spent with his grandparents in Kyelakin after his parents moved to Inverness when he was three. This silver fish slice evokes his memories of the Misty Isle herring boat, which was part of this once thriving industry in the area.

Maclean worked with silversmith John Flegg to bring his design to life. It features the motif of a herring, with the Misty Isle's boat registration number - BRD 354.

On the handle there are five hallmarks: Date Mark (S), Makers Mark (EAO), the Fineness Mark (925), the Edinburgh Assay Office Mark, and the Lion Rampant marking the piece as being Sterling Silver hallmarked in Scotland. Will Maclean's signature can also be seen hand-engraved onto the underside of the handle.

The fish slice comes in a bespoke box designed and handmade by Glasgow-based artist, Martin Campbell. It is made from Douglas Fir and lined with leather hide from Andrew Muir leather.

The fish slice is an edition of five and each is made to order, with an estimated delivery time of 6-8 weeks.

Any specific shipping or insurance requirements should be discussed with ATLAS Arts prior to purchase.
