This amazing zine from the Seed Ambassadors Project tells you everything you need to know about the saving of seeds, from tomatoes to lettuce to the more difficult Brassica's Brocolli's and Kale. The Seed Ambassadors "are a group of folks who have recognized that saving seeds is the foundation of developing durable and resilient locally based food systems". They "encourage others to join in this important work. In our eyes every seed saved is a socially healing, community creating event."

Hunger for Justice via A Growing Culture arranges a weekly series of discussions exposing the inequities in our food systems. Each week, they host an hour long, candid conversation with activists at the frontlines of the global food movement.

Themes like gender equality, farmworker rights, trade policy, seed patents, climate change, and land grabs are explored through the lens of food sovereignty.

This Potato Growing Guide produced by Transition Black Isle gives lots of great tips on growing potatoes in the Highlands. Transition Black Isle also have a huge set of reading and resource suggestions for people interested in growing their own food in the Highland climate.

The Landworkers Alliance is another great UK-based resource - a union of farmers, growers, foresters and land-based workers whose mission is to improve the livelihoods of members and create a better food and land-use system for everyone. The Landworkers Alliance organise a range of events and resources, including training on how to build movements and campaigns focused on food and land-use systems, agroecology, food sovereignty and sustainable forestry to further social and environmental justice

The Seed Sovereignty Programme of the UK & Ireland aims to support the development of a biodiverse and ecologically sustainable seed system here on home soil. Working closely with farmers, seed producers and partners across the seed sector, together we want more agro-ecological seed produced by trained growers, to conserve threatened varieties and to breed more varieties for future resilience.

This video from The Gaia Foundation tells you everything you need to know about hybrid seed – and why its not so great to share seeds from F1 hybrid plants. Often, the vegetables you buy in Supermarkets are F1 hybrids, which means the seed from those plants will not produce stable plants.
