View this post on Instagram #repost from @artangel_ldn – #RedLines, Evan Roth’s work connecting people to the landscape of the internet, updates today to feature new footage from Porthcurno, Cornwall. It is now on display on our second floor, just at the top of the stairs. ❤️ Also at @atlasarts @glynnvivian @GoldenThread_gallery @opendatainstitute @theptm @townergallery or inside your own home. The small coastal village of Porthcurno, where the new footage was shot, was chosen as a site for submarine telegraph cables because there was relatively little sea traffic and therefore less risk of damage by anchors than a large port. The first cable was landed in 1870 and today the village continues to be connected to the world through the web of cables beneath the waves.
