It’s been such a treat to be bobbing in and out of archival wormholes this past couple of weeks. From a visual narrative enthusiast’s point of view the only real problem I’ve encountered has been remaining focused on the themes that I’ve decided to hone in on in the face of frequent ambushes by bizarre and beautiful tangents. For example today as I’m beavering away on developing this latest birds/burds animation (based on one of the darkest tales I’ve ever heard) I am fighting constant distraction by the thought of Calum mac Eòghainn’s epic “one that got away”;  a fish so big that it’s head passed him by on Monday and the tail not until the following Saturday (Track ID 7248). Or the woodcutter who wasted three wishes on 1) a delicious sausage 2) for said sausage to become his wife’s nose 3) for his wife’s sausage nose to become a regular nose nose again 😂 (track ID 21745) I think I’ll need to park all these beauties in a side folder and come back to them a bit further down the line, they’re too great 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
