View this post on Instagram Enjoying an afternoon doodling and letting some archive entries wash over me. I don't know if it's a west Highland thing but i take a great amount of pleasure seeing my own mood reflected back to me in the weather, and I am also always fascinated to learn about the ways in which women's power has been feared and demonised throughout history. So needless to say I really enjoyed stumbling across a story from 1953 by Donald MacInnes on Skye (ref no 2199) about a young girl who contrived a storm to help bring a boat ashore but sadly she was unable to control the force of the storm and the boat was wrecked… It's definitely worth a listen (or 15 listens if you are a learner like me, Mr MacInnes' lovely soft voice can be tough to follow but it's definitely worth it 😁) A post shared by Tobar an Dualchais (@tobar_an_dualchais) on Sep 5, 2020 at 9:47am PDT
