Join Dr Elsa Panciroli and Lauren Gault to discuss their upcoming research activities in Skye. They will explore the history of significant fossil finds across the island and the potential role fossils played in Skye stories, myth and folklore.
Lauren and Elsa are interested in CT scanning, X‑ray Tomography and 3D printing techniques used to analyse and access fossil samples ‘out of sight’, developing work using these non-invasive technologies and learning more from local knowledge around the roles palaeontology and archaeology could play in the community.
Dinner from 7pm and talk from 7.30pm.
Free, no need to book.
