David Lemm has created a limited edition, hand screen printed, postcard set that depicts his ascent of a Cuillin mountain.
Lemm was commissioned to explore The Cuillin, the spectacular and iconic mountains in the Isle of Skye, and create a limited edition artwork. Thinking about the mountain as a whole, rather than just the summit, Lemm chose to climb Sgurr Alasdair, which at 3,255 feet is the highest island summit in the United Kingdom. This experience provided the inspiration for Landshapes, a limited edition series of seven postcards depicting his journey, alongside a poster and sticker set, packaged together in a signed, screen printed box.
The A6 postcards have been printed by hand by the artist and are individually numbered. Each references a different part of the journey, drawing attention to the varied aspects of the climb.
