As part of her CLIMAVORE: On Tidal Zones Residency, Hayley Woolcott led a workshop with a group of 18 children in P7 from Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Phort Rìgh, exploring the intertidal zone around the Bayfield Shore.

Hayley lightly discussed some biological research interests and shared with each in the group her own linocut prints of numerous seaweeds and shells which can be found in these intertidal zones.

Through this, the group was then encouraged to explore the intertidal area to see what sort of seaweeds, shells or thriving life they could themselves find, which they did so enthusiastically, being warmed by some dulse hot chocolate at the end of the workshop for their troubles.
