Building the sauna

The Community Sauna Project is an art project led by Malcolm Mackenzie. The sauna was built by Malcolm Mackenzie and Willie Threlfall of Crannog Designs during the Winter 2024/​25, and was based by Plockton Village Hall till Summer 2025.

November 2024 — February 2025

The Community Sauna Project is an art project led by Malcolm Mackenzie. The sauna was built by Malcolm Mackenzie and Willie Threlfall in Winter 2024/25, supported by ATLAS Arts. The project creates a new space for the residents of Lochalsh, Skye, Raasay and Wester Ross, and offers a place for conversation; inviting users to reflect on and ask questions about the communities they live in.
