Join us for an informal gathering in the ATLAS Arts office as we welcome artist Anna Macleod who will be giving a talk about her work and research during her recent Jon Schueler residency at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.

The event is in person at our office, with an option of listening to the talk online from 6.15pm (booking required).

Based in north-west Ireland, Anna Macleod is a Scottish-Irish visual artist, researcher and educator whose work explores relationships between land, water, culture and community. Working across sculpture, installation, drawing, photography, video and sound, her practice brings together archival research, fieldwork and collaboration to examine how people understand and interact with landscapes.

Most recently she has been the recipient of the Jon Schueler scholarship through Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, and is nearing the end of her twelve-week residency there. Join us for an informal gathering in the ATLAS office to hear Anna speak about her research and work interests around Gaelic cosmology, through landscape heritage and agricultural calendrical practices.

Anna will also be sharing a selection of her work from the Sabhal Mòr Ostaig residency in an exhibition in Talla Duisdale, Sleat – September 3 – 5, 11am-5pm – with an opening event on Tuesday 2nd, 5 – 7pm. The exhibition and residency is led and programmed by Sabhal Mòr Ostaig.
