Ruffs on a Lek, Camille Auer, 2022.

This event presents two works by artists, Camille Auer and Ashanti Harris. Through listening and movement these works correspond” with the places in which they are encountered. Air Passing Through Feathers, Drawing a Sense of Space Around Us

Air Passing Through Feathers, Drawing a Sense of Space Around Us is a concrete sound composition by artist Camille Auer. It examines how the sounds of birds contribute to our sense of place and time. The piece is composed of recordings captured during spring and is now offered for listening at the peak of autumn, tying a knot in the circles of the seasons.

A collage, a choreography, a collective imagining

A collage, a choreography, a collective imagining by artist Ashanti Harris is an invitation to explore and redefine our relationship to our bodies and the environments we move through. Shifting between collaged narratives, descriptions of real and imagined spaces, movement provocations and guided body awareness exercises. This workshop/performance asks you to consider the many layers of narratives which intersect and overlap with our own experiences and to MOVE with them. You are invited to follow feeling rather than any kind of style or technique, listening, imagining and moving together.

Please note, this workshop/performance is participatory and invites the audience to join the performers in movement and imagination. All invited movement is optional and can be as big or small as you feel. Come as you are and do whatever you feel comfortable to do.
