Artist Isabel Lewis within a leafy forest singing into a microphone

Book a time to assemble with others and collectively move through a score written and prepared by Isabel Lewis and her collaborators Richy Carey, Lucy Cooke, and Nick Hodgetts. With three slots at 12 noon, 3pm and 6pm, come along ready to participate with your whole body, with guided exercises led by each of the local agents, and prompts to move through the space.

Immersive sound, singing and foraged refreshments build a crescendo of interspecies learning and loving in the surrounds of Braes Village hall.

Access

Location: the hall is on the B883 at Upper Ollach 6 miles south of Portree. Here on map.

Braes Hall website. Activity will take place outside in the area surrounding the hall. The ground may be slippery, wet and uneven in places - please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather! Please bring midge protection. The event involves some seated sections and some standing. Seating options are blankets on the ground, or chairs with blankets for those who prefer. There will be some background music and sound.

Parking: there is parking directly outside the hall, a member of our team will be on hand to direct you.

Toilets: there are toilets inside the hall with ramp access, the toilets however are through a narrow (50cm) doorway. Nearest accessible toilets are in Portree.

General information

There will be a mobile phone, first aider, first aid kit, water and blankets available at all locations, please ask a member of the team if you need anything or feel unwell at any point.

A Portable Hearing Loop is available at all events. Please speak to a member of staff at the event if you’d like a discrete transmitter for your hearing aid. 2 are available.

Places are extremely limited for these events due to COVID-19. We would kindly ask you to let us know if you have booked a ticket but can no longer attend to allow someone else to join.

COVID-19 Note: We kindly ask that everyone keeps a distance of 2m between themselves and those outside their household at these events. Bring along a face covering for wearing indoors. ATLAS will provide hand sanitiser and will be following all Scottish Government COVID regulations for events.
