Conversation and shore visit with Shelagh Parlane and Shona MacLellan from the local RSPB.

This event begins with a conversation in Broadford Hall led by Shona MacLellan and Shelagh Parlane (RSPB), introducing us to the Gaelic names of birds, why they have those names and what they mean and speaking about migratory birds, the routes they follow, the places they pause, and the ways they navigate across land and sea. Attention will be given to seasonal arrivals and departures. This will be followed by a shore visit (weather permitting) to allow for some outside perspectives.

After the walk, we will gather indoors for an informal hall conversation, learning more about Daniel’s artworks, exploring birds in dreams, song, and story. Together we will consider what migratory birds can teach us about belonging, and dreaming.

A shared afternoon of observation, listening, and reflection – grounded in place, and open to elsewhere.
