Listening and imagination workshops for P7 children.
All living beings have dreams.
Humans do, of course, but many cultures also speak of dreams as something shared by the living world around us: by animals, plants, and even by stones and minerals.
During his visit to Skye, Mexican artist Daniel Godínez Nivón will offer a two-session creative workshop for P7 children, exploring dreams as a way of imagining, listening, and reconnecting with the natural world we belong to. Together, we will take part in a listening exercise to gently evoke dreams, and we will imagine the dreams of other beings we live alongside: minerals and rocks, flowers and plants, and migratory birds that travel across landscapes and seasons.
Through simple drawing, storytelling, and collective imagination, the sessions invite children to reflect on how we relate to nature, how we care for our environment, and how dreams can be a playful space for empathy, creativity, and ecological awareness.
This workshop forms part of Daniel Godínez Nivón’s ongoing project Inner Sun developed in collaboration with ATLAS Arts.
