Talking Art Series was a programme of artists’ talks presented as a Saturday afternoon lecture series in Portree. The talks brought a variety of artists, with a range of practices, to the Isle of Skye to discuss their creative approaches to making work – with a particular focus on making work in the public realm. Over the course of two years, ATLAS worked with a number of artists such as Nicky Bird, Chris Dooks, Graham Fagan and Frances Priest to encourage critical engagement with contemporary art.

Travelling the Archive was a long-term project with artist Nicky Bird aimed at reimagining a time and place in Kyleakin’s past, for future audiences and current residents. Utilising the Joan Wilcock Collection held in the Skye and Lochalsh Archive Centre, a programme incorporating an outdoor projection exhibition, a series of memory walks, schools workshops and more were delivered as part of this project.
