Join local fossil expert Dugie Ross for a themed walk: ‘Fossils and dinosaurs’ at Staffin and Flodigarry Beaches. A Jurassic excursion starting at the Fossil Museum at Eillishadder. This walk promises to be lots of fun.
ABOUT DUGIE ROSS
Dugie Ross, who has had a lifelong interest in fossils and runs the Fossil Museum, has been recognised by one of the world’s leading societies in the field of Palaeontology for his work in finding, protecting and preserving dinosaur and fossil bones and footprints.
ABOUT STAFFIN BEACH
The sandy Staffin beach is famous for its dinosaur footprints that were discovered here in 2002, which are the largest of their kind in Scotland. It is quiet and sheltered with a gently sloping shelf into the sea and can be easily reached from the main road.
