We are delighted this month to be screening work by Skye-based filmmakers. This year’s line-up shows the breadth of work being made and includes; Julie Brook, Kenneth Macleod, Diana Mackie, Fiona McAndrew, Nick Middleton and Ishbel Strachan. Additionally, the evening will feature a special archive film ‘Crofting on Skye’ by the Scottish Educational Film Association (SEFA), an award-winning film made in 1939.

After the screening, we will host a question and answer session with the filmmakers to give you an opportunity to ask them about their work, influences, and technique. This will be accompanied with wine or beer and a selection of delicious nibbles.

SCREEN-IT is ATLAS’ film and moving image programme, showcasing the best in artist moving image from across the globe. The programme aims to foster a critical forum, encouraging engaged discourse around the themes explored at each event. SCREEN-IT is a regular monthly event during the winter season, which has expanded to encompass large-scale screening events in partnership with Lisson Gallery, Lux Scotland, Dunvegan Castle, Skye Live and Transit Arts.
