Join us for the soft launch of Are you LOCATIONALIZED at the Kelsen Technical warehouse where the artworks have been built.
ATLAS Arts is delighted to announce the inclusion of Are you LOCATIONALIZED by Joanne Tatham & Tom O’Sullivan, our most recent commission, in GENERATION a major nation-wide exhibition programme showcasing some of the best and most significant artists to have emerged from Scotland over the last twenty-five years.
Are you LOCATIONALIZED spans the two Hebridean islands of Skye and North Uist and brings together a number of elements including; two outdoor structures, one on each of the islands, a series of photo-works within Taigh Chearsabhagh Art Centre in North Uist and an information desk (with information) within the ATLAS Arts office in Portree in the Isle of Skye. These elements are positioned in relation to their context, and to each other, in order to build a complex cumulative artwork that explores the situation it is in (and perhaps provokes viewers to think likewise).
