Opening Weekend 19 & 20 July
Exhibition continues 20 ‑26 July
Spanning four sites across North Skye

We’re delighted to invite you to the opening weekend of Samhla. On Friday 19 & Saturday 20 July, join us for a full programme of events across North Skye, including a publication launch, talks, walks and exhibition opening.

Samhla is an exhibition of new sculptural objects, texts and events by Lauren Gault, spanning across four sites in North Skye. Guided by a specially designed publication, we will travel to a range of indoor and outdoor spaces – bringing together objects, texts and materials to be held in the hand, encountered through walking, licked by animals, and opened out through maps and discussion.

The project has been developed with many people invested in how stories of landscapes are told and evidenced over time – including archaeologists, palaeontologists, classicists, placename researchers, folklorists and historians. This has grown from Lauren’s longstanding interest in the materials, identities and stories that surround agriculture – and the stakes of landscape decisions today.

We hope to see you on Friday 19 & Saturday 20 July, sign up to our newsletter to be kept in the loop with further details and booking info.
